NYSSLHA Membership Refund Policy

Effective Date: November 5, 2024

The New York State Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NYSSLHA) is committed to providing valuable resources, education, and networking opportunities to our members. Please review our refund policy below, which outlines the circumstances under which membership dues may be refunded.

1. General Policy

• Membership Dues: Membership dues are non-refundable once payment has been processed. This includes new memberships, renewals, and any membership level changes.

2. Exceptions

• Duplicate Payment: In the event of a duplicate payment, a refund will be issued for the additional transaction. Please contact us within 30 days of the payment to request a refund.
• Administrative Error: If a payment was made in error due to an administrative issue on NYSSLHA's part, we will issue a full refund of the affected dues.

3. Cancellation Requests

• Voluntary Cancellation: If you choose to cancel your membership, please note that membership dues are non-refundable. However, you will retain access to all member benefits until the end of your current membership term.
• Involuntary Cancellation: In the rare case that NYSSLHA must cancel a membership due to violations of our code of conduct or other policies, no refund will be issued.

4. How to Request a Refund

• To request a refund under the conditions outlined above, please contact our membership department at nysslha@nysslha.org
• Include your Member ID, payment details, and a brief description of the issue.
• Refund requests will be reviewed and processed within 10-15 business days if applicable minus a $35 administrative processing fee.

5. Changes to the Refund Policy

• NYSSLHA reserves the right to modify this refund policy at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website and will apply to transactions made after the policy's effective date.
